Hair styles that take up time

Hairstyles that take up time like braids, crimps or even this new hairstyle I learned Bantu Knots.  So yesterday night I tried to do the Bantu Knots.  I knew it would take a while so i decided to do it when I had free time like now while we are on break.  This was hairstyle recommended by Destini B. for more on the Bantu Knots check out “Kno the Fro” http://wordpress.com/#!/read/blog/id/42777887/  I went out to get the products right before I went to work it took less than 5 minutes.  Then after I got off work I started doing my hair.  Since you have to leave in this hair style for at least 5 hours I went to bed with my hair wrapped.  This hairstyle requires time and trial and error. I recommend doing this hairstyle when you have free time.

Last Minute Shopping

Christmas is only 3 days away.  Some of us are still out there shopping.  I thought I was done my shopping yesterday but I need to run out and get a few things.  There is still time to get some shopping done.  One thing I suggest though is no more online shopping.  You will be waisting up to $20+ trying to get your gifts here on time.  There will be more sales after Christmas.  For now try to do what I did and get everyone like one or two gifts, except mom she deserves way more in my opinion.  Good luck with the last minute Christmas Shopping.

Last week of school

Today is my last final, but for others it might be a different story. Before we leave there are a few task we have to take care of. Whether it is selling books back that we do not need next semester. Spending the last of out vouchers. Then there is that last minute studying. It is possible to squeeze in everything we need to do. After your final why not try to go sell those last few books. If you need a break from school go get some last minute shopping done. Before you go to bed or hang out with your friends do a few practice problems.

Reading Day

Are you taking advantage of Reading day?  Probably not.  I know I defintly slept in just like you.  There is still time to study. There are going to be events going on tonight but before you go pick up your book at least once.  Let me remind you finals are next week people.  I am about to go to work and I think I am going to bring some books with me.  Studying it up.

7 Steps

7 Steps to managing your time better

1.Being organized

Agenda book, calendar, binders, folders, tab dividers even a phone all helpful tools to stay organized.

2.Plan Ahead

There are always events going on around campus.  Check your avaliabilty ahead of time in case something pops up you want to do.

3. Prioritize

I treat all classes like they are the same whether a C is required to pass or not.  Although when it comes to assignments I try to look at whats do and get my main subjects out the way before I do my elective work.

4.Avoid Overload

Look at your schedule for next semester if you think you are taking to many credits you probably are.  Only take on what you can handle.

5.Study Techniques

Studying is not just looking in the book and reading.  Studying is doing practice problems, answering question anything to get you thinking.  Practicing study skills can help you prepare better for your test.

6. Flexible

When creating your schedule or looking at your schedule make sure you have some time aside to do extra things.  Or when you are leaving to go to class make sure you do not leave five minutes before class starts.  You never what what might happen.  You may realize you forgot your phone and have to run back and get it.  Or you make run into a few friends and want to chat.

7.Visualize

Don’t forget the big picture.  I am going to college because…………   Having a personal mission in mind do not worry about anyone else.  Not everyone has the same dream and aspirations in life.  Having a positive attitude will asure a great turn out.

Finals

Finals are next week my fellow peers.  In between classes is a great time to study.  I just found out there are also going to be some study sessions in the evening all this week.  Where to go the MLK building and the time is now.  I prefer to make study plans ahead of time.  I think I am going to get together with a couple of friends later and get my study on too.  You can make time for study so get into those books, Happy Studying!
